PEIMI Frequently Asked Questions
Twenty-two answers to the questions we are asked most, grouped by topic. If your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp.
Ordering
How do I place an order with PEIMI?
Browse the catalog, note the exact product name, then message us on WhatsApp at +86 198 6058 1805 with the name and your country. We confirm stock, shipping cost and the total, you approve and pay, and we ship with tracking.
Do you have a shopping cart or online checkout?
No. Every order is completed over WhatsApp or email. Knife sales involve questions a checkout form cannot answer — shipping cost to your country, carry-law questions, and accessory choices — so we handle each order personally.
What payment methods do you accept?
The available payment options are confirmed in your WhatsApp conversation before you pay, because they depend on your country. You will always know the exact total and the method before sending anything.
Can I order multiple knives at once?
Yes. Send the full list of models and quantities and we will quote the combined shipping, which is usually cheaper per knife than separate orders. For larger or reseller quantities, email us for a separate quote.
Shipping
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Send your country and city on WhatsApp and we will confirm delivery availability, shipping cost and an estimated transit time before you order.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping cost depends on destination, order size and the service available to your address. It is quoted in writing on WhatsApp before you pay, so the total you agree to is the total you pay.
How long does delivery take?
Transit time varies by destination and carrier. You are given an estimate for your specific address before you pay — that estimate is what to work from rather than a generic figure.
Will I be charged customs or import duty?
Possibly. Import duties, taxes and customs inspection are set by your country, not by us, and are the buyer's responsibility. Some destinations restrict or prohibit certain knife types, so check your local import rules before ordering.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Tracking details are sent to the same WhatsApp or email thread used for the order once the parcel is dispatched. If tracking stalls, message us and we will chase the carrier.
Products
What types of knives does PEIMI sell?
Three types across 32 models: OTF automatic knives (19 models), folding pocket knives (11 models) and fixed blade knives (2 models), priced from $39.99 to $189.99.
What blade steel do you use?
Every knife in the catalog uses a stainless steel blade. For a proper comparison of the most common knife steels — D2, 440C and S35VN — including hardness and corrosion data, see our steel comparison guide.
What handle materials are available?
G10, carbon fiber, aluminum, titanium, wood, FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) and acrylic, depending on the model. G10 and FRN are the most durable for hard use; titanium and carbon fiber are the premium options.
What is the difference between single action and double action OTF?
A single action OTF deploys the blade automatically but must be retracted by hand. A double action OTF both extends and retracts the blade with the same button or slider, allowing full one-handed use — which is why most of our OTF models are double action.
What size knife should I buy for everyday carry?
For most people a 19–21 cm folding knife under 150 g with a frame or crossbar lock is the practical sweet spot. A 16–18 cm mini OTF suits keychain carry, and 22–23 cm models give more grip for demanding work.
Is a fixed blade stronger than a folding knife?
Yes. A fixed blade has no lock or pivot to fail, so it is the strongest knife type. The trade-off is that it does not fold into the handle, which makes it bulkier to carry and restricted in more jurisdictions than a folder.
Legality
Are OTF and automatic knives legal where I live?
That depends on your country, state and city law, and sometimes on your reason for carrying — we cannot answer it for your address. Some places restrict public carry of automatic knives while permitting ownership at home. Always confirm your local rules before carrying.
Are OTF knives legal in California?
California Penal Code 21510 restricts carrying an OTF switchblade in public, but owning one at home or on private property is legal. You can buy one online and have it shipped to a California address for home collection — the restriction is on public carry, not ownership.
Can I fly with an automatic knife?
Automatic knives are not permitted in carry-on baggage in most jurisdictions, and many airlines and countries restrict them in checked baggage too. Check your airline's rules and your destination country's law before you travel.
Do you verify that I am allowed to own a knife?
No. We cannot verify local law for every destination. By ordering you confirm that purchasing, receiving and owning the item is lawful where you are, and that you are old enough to do so.
Care and support
How do I keep an OTF knife reliable?
Keep the internal track clear of dust, sand and lint — that is the most common cause of misfires. Flush the mechanism with a dry solvent or compressed air rather than heavy oil, which attracts grit, and apply a light lubricant sparingly to the track. Never force the slider if the blade binds.
What is the best way to clean a folding knife?
Wipe the blade, flush the pivot area, dry it fully, then apply a thin film of oil to the pivot and blade. Avoid dishwashers and long soaking, which trap moisture in the pivot. Our knife care guide covers the common mistakes in detail.
What if my knife arrives damaged?
Contact us with a photo of the item and the packaging as soon as it arrives. We will arrange a replacement or a refund. Reporting quickly lets us file with the carrier while the case is open.
How do I return or exchange an item?
Message us with your order details and the reason. We will confirm whether it qualifies and give you the return address and instructions. Items must come back in the condition they were received.
